IS window tinting an option via ford, or do the windows come tinted already, since I have some time before I get my ride delivered thought I might look at getting whatever options I can just to make the $$$ guys evern happier.

It is an option. I did mine afterwards as I wanted to know exactly who was gonna do it and choose the tint I wanted. If you live in Melbourne I have no hesitation recommending you speak to TINTR he did a great job on mine.

Any idea on costs be it as a Ford Option or as a after market job?

I got mine after market as I wanted a darker tint than the dealers can offer.

$250 for 20% (dark dark)

$200 for 35% (darkest legal)

Solace Window tinting in Lansvale.

The same guy that does those deals owns a Solace at Greenacre and Castle Hill. Speak to Bobby and tell him Ivan sent ya.

At the dealer (in Melbourne) I was quoted $550.

At the tinting places that I have called, the price is between $200 and $350.

Mind you the girl who ran through the costs of the dealer options was hot, but I still didn't get it done there. :blush3:

I just asked around what the others at work had done, had a look at how theirs looks now (some are up to 2 years old).

I am booked in to get it done this weekend.

yeah..I'm not sure about factory tinting or getting it done externally.

Jarvis are offering to give me thins whole discount thing if I get their paint protection as well so I'm still deciding.

Sweet Lansvale sounds like the plan, I am just over in Moorebank so that makes it easy and I think a really dark tint will rock with Lightning Strike! Will make sure to mention you referred me to them.

They are located next to the tyre place and blue haven pools. (Right before the shell servo actually)
