Another two questions I have which I would really like to know are...

1) Does the BA MkII XR6t have AUX input?

2) Can the standard CD Player play MP3 CD's?

Aux input was optional I think.. But MP3 is a negative.. I'm definite that wasn't around on the BA's..

My cd player wont play mp3 but I can still use burnt discs if in the correct format. Look insde the back of tissue compartment for an aux jack if its not there, there's just a little hole left behind. I think you can buy them off ebay.

You can also buy them from Ford, they're called an "Auxiliary Audio Booster Kit" part number: "BAF 289455 BA"

I have one sitting in front of me now, cost me $50 from Ebay or you can buy direct from Ford for about 70/80 bucks.

Pretty easy to hook up, and you want to make sure you get the booster kit, as people have reported that just the cable without the booster gives horrible sound.

Careful with burnt cds too, they had a tendency to get stuck in the 6 stackers..

Thanks for the help with those questions guys.

I've heard that if you wanted to use an alternative CD player (hence buying one and installing it) that it's difficult work. Is it worth it to do this at all?

Also, do the BF CD players have problems with CD's getting stuck? If they don't will a BF one fit straight in to a BA one?

No idea on fitment of a BF cd player.. But I do know that fitting aftermarket units can be a pain in the arse.. They usually go where the tissue holder is (under the ICC).. In my old BA (not a six stacker though) I had no issues with the cd player jamming ever.. And that was playing all burnt cd's.. But I did get told once to avoid CD-RW's..

Hmm... Ok. Music is a big thing for me. I don't own an iPod (but will get one soon enough, hopefully) so I'll need to play CDs in the meantime. Although I do have a crap load of MP3 CDs. :P

If anyone can clarify whether a BF CD player (6 stacker in cabin) unit can fit into a BA that would be great!
