December 13, 201114 yr #1 Hi guys,Am in need of some new rear tyres for my ba xr6t sedan with super low king springs and need to knowwhats the widest I can go in 20's without rolling the guards?I've currently got 225's on the rear but am wanting more meet on th road any help would greatly be appreciated.cheers
December 13, 201114 yr #2 225's? You driving a Getz? Depends on the rim width mate. If it an 8" rim you can go up to 255? I have 275's on 9.5" rear rims.
December 13, 201114 yr #3 Author Yes its an 8inch mate. Any more feedback would greatly be appreciated.
December 13, 201114 yr #4 Author just a reminder, car is lowered with sssl king springs so basically sitting on its ass with 20'scheers
December 13, 201114 yr #6 And you'll probably find it 8.5 inch... Most 20's are... What's the wheel offset? Do you know? 255/30/20 would be fine on an 8 inch rim too... Brand of Tyres makes a big difference... But not many options in a 20... That's why I run a 10 (soon to be 10.5) on the rear... 245 to 315 are all options!
December 14, 201114 yr #7 Author Thanks for your help Worm.Im actually overseas so I cannot check the size of the rim but I do know its the same wheels as t6xr hason his car except I have 20's instead of 22's on the rear.If its 8.5" im assuming 245's should fit fine but wat abt 255's? If they fit without scrubbing id be more than happy to fit those. Im not too fussed what brand they are as long as they fit.cheerts
December 14, 201114 yr #8 They should be fine too. Hey did you just pull all the gear off XR2DY4 or is this a new one?
