Tablets.. Chasing One For Work.

Featured Replies

Sorry if this has been asked before.. But I'm chasing a Tablet for work.. Needs to have ability to use Microsoft Office or at least edit Microsoft Office Excel files, open PDF's, Access emails etc.. I'm aware that the Ipad can do all this.. Just unsure if anyone uses any of the gazillion other tablets on the market and how they compare?.. Most people I know use Ipads.. But I have an Iphone already and the Ipad seems like a bigger version of that..

I just figure a tablet will make some of the stuff I have to do for work a fair bit easier and I'm not keen of lugging around a laptop when you're walking up and down the roadside for hours on end..

So what do you fellas/ladies have? And what do you use it for?

I don't have one but if you have and are used to an iphone then the ipad would be simple for you.

no usb though

Fark me that looks the good Dags.. Thanks for that.. This may be a dumb question.. It has US prices listed and I am assuming Aussies ones would be almost double (Seems the case usually even though the exchange rate has backflipped). Would importing one from the US be possible or is there something with computers that stops you doing this?

Cheers,

Will it run Win8?

Brenno nothing stopping you from buying one from the US might just need a step down transformer depending on what comes with it, id wait for aussie prices to be announced though.

No reason you cant import one aus pricing hasnt been released as yet as far as I know, probably another 80-100 more.

It's possible to import most things but price difference on tablets isn't as huge as it used to be. It has to compete with the iPad after all...

I had a quick look at the sony Tablet S the other day and really like the way it's shaped, makes it easy to hold.

I reckon that soon will be the time for me to upgrade to the Prime and give my TF101 to my other half to use at work. :spoton:

I'll buy anything but not apple, don't get me wrong I am not anti apple but I like a bit of freedom when it comes to phones and computers, and will definitely try win 8 which look like to be tailored win 7 for tablets and phones.
