No it doesn't, a modded airbox and K&N could of made the same. There's no comparison.

Did you read the first post dillz? 1 pound plus the growler added 30rwkw? surely the growler had some part to play in this?

that's it.. my stock XR8 airbox was at its max mate.. I pick up same nice easy power with SS Growler..

did you have a K&N filter in the xr8 box mark?

Getting rid of the crossover would have solved the problem but, Mark wanted to keep it stock looking - fair enough.

Dillz, the V8 airbox - even letter boxed modded - is out of puff at around 350rwkw mate mainly due the panel filter. Put simply, there is not enough surface area to draw air. The guys have proved this on their dyno by removing the element.

The Growler, despite the poo people hang on them, has an advantage in that air can draw directly into the conical filter from the entry points in the top. On the dyno, with a fan only simulating approximately 50kph wind speed, this provides a significant advantage over a 'closed in' airbox. No, not as good as turbo side, but about the best option going for passenger side, IMO.

Anyway, the car sounds unreal and goes like stink. Everything on it is just about the best going around. P/West cooler, CES ceramic coated split dump & full zorst, 750cc xspurts, etc. IMO, one of the best I've seen - it's a credit to you Mark.
