Bf2 Xr6T Brake Rotor Upgrade...opinions Please

Greetings All,

next on the list is to update the rotors and pads. I was thinking(no track driving,and I dont drive the car that hard anyways):

DBA5000 fronts

DBA4000 rear

EBC red stuff pads all round

braided hoses

PBR,Ferodo or similar brake fluid change

Any opinions,experience with the above setup are welcome and appreciated

PS im not changing my XR8 18s rims so limited to the existing calipers.

Sounds perfect, but get 4000 ( the new T3 ) all round and use the money saved to put the ford premium calipers (the blue ones on early FPV) ( they can also be bought in black) on the front 325mm x 32mm. Use the EBC red, braided lines and a fluid cahange and enjoy.

If you really dont mind spending money get the 5000 for the front. Also if you definitely arnt going to do track days then you can get drilled or slotted rotors. Drilled look cool but are more expensive.

yeah I been meaning to buy the blue fpv calipers, but every time they come up I miss them! black would be damn awesome as it will match the car color better I think....

so the good thing is I will get the brakes but in no hurry for caliper upgrade so will wait until a good black set turn up..

just called ford spare parts and the FPV blue calipers are 898 EACH!! the parts guy started laughing and said what a rip off

Ford always rip people of on part prices in my experience. I priced up the rubber bits that go under the rear springs today and ford want $85 each for them. So $340 for the set of four just for the rear :o So I will make some rubber packers to go under the existing ones. Maybe they are trying to make it so expensive to maintain that I'll buy the new model??

Does anyone happen to know the diameter of the standard rotors on the front of a 05 bf xr6 turbo ute??
