From Pondering A Fg F6....... To Ordering One....and Now Driving One

I took delivery of my F6 on the 1st of August and so far I LOVE IT !

It's an easy car to drive the suspension is a bit soft but I really don't mind it,especially when I'm on some crappy road.

I must say it's great to get back into a RWD car,I just feel more in control when the back gives way rather than the front as was the case with my XR5.

The fit and finish seems very good as is the paint finish.I have to say the colour(white)has impressed everyone that I know.

I've only travelled about 320 klms since I took delivery of the car.Possibly the only aspect I could complain about would be that the gear changes feel a bit rough however,strangely I have yet to miss or crunch any gears.

I've notice some Late model camira drivers admiring while they have been beside it and then ...suddenly they do a ricer flyby

Anyway I'll keep it short,I have to get back to reading about the ICC and find out how things work.One of a few things I want to do is to have the dash lights on whenever I have the parkers switched on.That auto light sensor is a pita!!!

Congrats! And that light sensor is a pain, I've got black electrical tape on mine. I've heard it messes with the climate control though as it thinks it's night.

Congrats! The manuals do feel rough but from everyone I've spoken too it's normal. Gives it a bit of that mean feeling I reckon. Good choice of color. I got vixen but sometimes wish I went with white.

Just remember you will feel the roughness as the gear stick goes straight into the box, so you feel what you are doing basically. Most cars have rubber dampening bushes and stuff like that.

Being an fg they have the 6060 box and I believe that the gears are cut to draw themselves together to help shifts not be missed and improve the changing compared to the t56 in the BFs.

Get used to it these cars intimidate others on the road it happens all the time you could be minding your own business and they give it driving past lol.

I have a BF F6 RSpec and just fitted new Dark Argents and they complete the car. White with dark wheels is the new Black with chrome wheels.
