That is, the $220 Tactrix cable, laptop and countless hours educating myself of the functions of each ECU. Now I will be getting an FG XR6 T for my next vehicle, and I wanted to get a head start on the tuning of the vehicle, however all my research has led me to believe that DIY tuning is not possible? This is VERY dissapointing if correct, so I'm hoping that someone will tell me "No, you can use XXX"Any feedback? I've become quite attached to tuning of my own vehicles.....

Budget 1k for the software and MVPIYou can also use Sniper, or if you are really lucky you may stumble across a copy of an SCT racer pro package thats somebody wants to sell. The impression I get from SCT/Herrods is that they arent to interested in supporting the home enthusiast who doesnt run a shop and wont be selling X-cals to customers.
