Your driving it? At least it can't overboost.

You will need a new turbo or rebuild plus probs look at getting a new cooler cause your one would be full of metal shavings.

I'm not driving it it's in the garage. I start it once every 3 weeks to get things moving. My turbo makes alot of noise on wind down, Ive pulled the intake pipe off and the turbine has no marks (touch wood nothing happens).

Rapids IC is on the pressure side so there is no chance of any damage to the intake impeller....

Yes there is and I actually said Rapids IC "Kit" and its his 4in intake (where the battery is)that I was referring to. Two big welds, one from the bypass valve and the other is where the two sections join.

White smoke would be oil or blow head gasket wouldn't it. Get something through the intercooler would be hard, something small enough could probably get through but it'd be very small.

White smoke would be oil injestion from the damaged shaft seals in the turbo

Sorry guys Should have been more specific, turbo blew up and spat pieces through exhaust and in to IC. New big aftermarket turbo goes on (this is on RB25) and engine runs like a dog and blowing sh*t loads of smoke (white/gray I haven't seen it myself) I'm just a bit sceptical that a blown turbo can f*ck up an engine that bad...

Edit: again sorry about the thread hijack :)

Did the intercooler and intake tract get cleaned/flushed properly?

I think what hiddeous meant with his statement of- "White smoke would be oil injested from the damaged shaft seals in the turbo" Is that the oil would leak straight through into the exhaust turbine housing, it would then burn internally on the hot turbo or dump pipe and blow white smoke?

Lets hope that is all that's done and if not that the IC stopped the bits getting to the engine!
