I was going to go out on a limb with the Jensen Interceptor (my aunt has a series III with a fully worked 440: Dual Hotdogs nothing more, carburettors the size of Honda motors, alloy heads)...what does "someone" say...grumble mumble....

30k doesnt buy the cars I want! Id rather purchase a nice Lewis Moomba ski boat with a injected Mercruiser 350 on board! 30k would just scrape by. Something nice to be towed by the T.

Id buy 20 $1000 dollar bombs and a ten grand 70 series cruiser short wheel base with a big 351 in it so I can jump all 20 bombs in a row. I then would get out of the cruiser after the jump pretendeing I did nothin that special whilst walking over to Paris HILTON who begs me to take her on the bonnet of my lovely XR6T

Aaaaaahhhh. All so Boring!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Following the the amazing pride I felt owning a 1963 Galaxie Convertible, I'd go one better and get a 1961 Galaxie convertible. In fact I am shopping for one now in the US. If anyone knows where I can get one in Aus I'd love to hear about it.

$30k won't get me my dream car outright, but it would give me enough to modify my existing stable.

The remainder would go on a big block transplant for my 68 'vette. maybe a big mother 540 cubic inch stroked Chev, with all the gravy. Hmmmmmm....yummmm.

Realistically though, another dream car I'd like to get a hold of one day, is an original R32 Nissan GTR. (probably impossible to find now)

Would settle on a modified car if it was driveable, reliable and complete.

Before you all stone me for liking ricers, this vehicle dominated production racing in Australia through 1992~94 and would have continued to do so if it wasn't outlawed.

This car, in my opinion, epitomises a high performance affordable sports car with the potential to appreciate quite a bit. (like the old GTHO's)

The R32 GTR's have awesome power, incredible traction (4WD) and road holding, and are very reliable with a proven racing history of absolute domination in production car racing.

Modified R32's achieve well over 600HP with no mods to the bottom end. Will do the standing 400m in under 11 seconds, and still be driveable to church on Sundays if desired.

$30k would probably get a basket case, but if you can convince the boss for just a little more....... Might get a reasonable car for about $40k from Japan?

I wouldn't go past a Bathurst Falcon Cobra, one of the first 30.

Second choice would be a Bolwell Nagari, a mates father in law has one and went for an unforgettable cruise in it. The XU-1 is defiately very quick, pity about those brakes once they got hot !!! Mine had solid discs, dunno about the Bathurst ones though.

A Godzilla is a good choice, turbotom.

Strange.

For many years I was an absolute fan of the Bolwell Nagari. In fact, saw one a few days ago that looked totally brutal. Yep put that one in the basket.

Got to say I'm a bit of a sucker for a good straight six, hence the T. Along these lines, a race replica MK11 jag would certainly fit and I've seen the odd one in Unique Cars.

But for the ultimate Six, you could never go past a BMW M6. That beautiful twin cammer with 6 individual butterflies is still a thing of beauty. And the sound............Would be about 10 gorilla's short on the budget though.
