In the states, it seems guys with accents pick up more girls, the Aussie accent seems to be one of the favs around here. So if I come to Australia' I will have the accent, would it be any easier to pick up the sheilas?

An American accent would be just the thing that people that work in the taxpayer funded media (ABC), Trade Union or University wold love to here.

If you really want to pick up make sure you speak loudly so the gorgeous chicks that work in those places I've mentioned can hear you and make sure you wear the Stars and Stripes on a T shirt.

Then again, if hairy armpitted, coverall wearing, boot shod, eyebrow pierced, purple and orange haired les b ians are your thing then you've found the right place.

(Not everyone in Australia is Americaphobic, though according to the Media, Trade Unions and Universities, Australians detest Americans!)

To really impress the sheilas here you have to advant garde, long baggy shorts, sandals with socks, loud Hawaiian shirt, big straw hat, big sunglasses, fat, cheap cigar clamped in the left side of your mouth (very important that), and the mandatory 4-5 cameras hung around your neck.

Now all you gotta do is swagger around, put sh!t on everything Australian, be proud of everything American and every second word has got to be 'Gaddam!'.......If you haven't picked up a Elle McPhearson look-alike by lunch time try a different anti-persperant.

Don't listen to any of them. The 'accent' is usually enough, oh yeah and if your 'pocket' bulges, all the better. Having confidence, mystery, lightning fast witt and a twisted sense of humour also goes a long, long way.

I speak from experience, damn 'septics'...oops, sorry.

My best mate is an American. Lived here for a few years but he was feeling home sick (sick to death of Australia basically). Every few weeks we chat to him, call usually only costs us $3 per hour. Hopefully we will be going over to the USA in 2004-2005 for a holiday and he will show us the cool things to see and do, not the 'cliche' tourist rubbish.

The Aussie girls always flock to town to visit the sailors/pilots when their ship comes in, so come on down & bring a few sets of Boyd wheels with you for travelling expenses. Our dollar's improving against the greenback but we're still charging a fortune locally for imported parts.

American accents go alright, but Irish accents really seem to pull in the Aussie chicks. There must be some sorta correlation there with Yank chicks liking Aussies, seeing we often get mistaken for Poms over there.
