A simple solution, dont breed.

My T will be my kid. I will hug him and love him and tweet hm like my bwery own.

Ive even allocated a spot between me and the missus. The exhaust s sweeter on the T believe me :augen:

My three and half year old has this facination with kicking the back of the driver or passenger seats... With dirty shoes and a long trip, I arrived to find an awful mess in the back.

It all cleaned up OK though and he is starting to get the feeling back in his legs!!!

Two girls, 3.5 & 1 yrs old.

Miss 1 is a dream...so far.

Miss 3.5 use to kick the rear of the seats on long trips...frustration, uncomfortable, boredom.

Ford dealer threw into the deal some of those seat back kids organisers. Provides for a fold down table, pockets for books, pencils, drink container, toys, etc. All within easy reach. Good for Miss 3.5 right now, another year & Miss 1 will appreciate it too.

In the end you can't really have a "no eating" rule, not on long trips, and not even on short trips where you just have to be somewhere at a certain time (and lets face it, that's most trips!).

Stick to water drinks - easy clean-up...just let it dry!

Sultanas, arroroot (?) biscuits, pieces of apple and dried fruit. NO lollies or chips...not ever!

And just as others have allready said, it is just a car....better to have a happy family drive & get there on time & not frazzled, but also managing to minimise the mess....

Thanks 56Mainline we got almost all the way thru another page with no 'useful' suggestions. I knew when I saw Ken & Redhawk posting it would be all downhill... should be some rule limiting people who have changed their names to one post per day.

The sultanas are a good idea as he likes them.

I give him half of one of those All Natural No preservitives or Colours Australian Made type animal lollies and they seem to make him happy when he has been sitting for too long. And given in moderation they never get a chance to hit the leather.

He used to sit in the middle in a Baby seat, hence he could kick the back/side of both front seats. Now his brother has that and he sits to one side in a 15-26kg person seat so his is futher back and his feet can't reach the seat in front...yet....brilliant, then when he can a seat protector thingy..

Yes it is just a car, but I have been doing some research on the internet and the kids may have a better resale value than the car.. :lol: .... but the Mrs will need some convincing.

It is difficult to reason with them at that age isn't it? They do, however, understand pain. If they don't they can soon learn. My kids did. As a reasonable person, I made a deal with them both. They didn't eat in the car. They didn't touch the glass. They didn't put their feet on any part of the car seats. I didn't hit them. Well OK, maybe just a couple of times, but no more times than they disobeyed their rules! It works, believe me. And they are still alive today to verify that no lasting harm was done. In fact, they both drive Fords so what can I say, I musta brung 'em up right.

As a father of 3 daughters (God help me), I suggest the obvious choice for me, is to purchase a commodore, VK - VS, (depending on budget), and use it to transport the rugrats around without worrying about the mess of food, drink, foot scuffs, vomit, pissing, faeces, and any other mess you'll encounter with your beloved young ones. Even feel free to piss on it yourself. Keep the T in as pristine condition as you can. You will not regret this at trade-in time.

Boy does this bring back memories - and I'm only 40.

My kids are 18 (boy who drove the T with me beside him once only, so he could tell his mates he did), girl 16, who will learn to drive in her brothers car and girl 13.

I have seen some really bad shyte happen to previous cars, my XY fairmont - plasticine all over the white vinyl seats! My XF Fairmont - too much bad things to mention in one post, when I traded it I got 3.5K only! My EF2 Fairmont (OK the Fairmont thing, I was old beofre my time), actually this one escaped most of the carnage.

Now the T.

At least they are unable to shyte, wee, spew or draw on the Ducati - some things are sacred after all.

For Ken's benefit they trashed a Magna as well between Fairmonts - but no-one cared, me included.
