350 with manuals. Autos go heaps more. I can't say I have ever heard if an auto car smash their oil pump gears. Only manual stories.

Is a complete Atomic oil pump a real necessity fo anything up to 500 rwkw??? Can you get away with billet gears alone? Does the pump need the billet backing plate???

Mine went at about 340rwkw. ZF auto. 3rd gear at 6500rpm. On the rev limiter they will explode very quickly.

This is what I've been told is the killer in these motors, the rev limiter send re-verbs back through the pump and they shatter...

I put in a billet set of gears and a modified housing by nizpro. They set up the pressure relief valve so it doesnt build to much pressure with high RPM. My car is a manual and I did this mod at 300rwkw. Its a 2000 dollar insurance policy. But as it doesnt shine when you open the bonnet or add any HP most people dont do it.
