boost69 Legacy Donating Member 737 Member For: 21y 4m 17d Posted 20/12/10 05:44 AM Posted 20/12/10 05:44 AM I still reckon cat too...revving in neutral doesn't create the same exhaust flow as in gear driving would...from my experience with blocked cats you wont make boost and as it deteriorates further when you try and accelerate the car chokes and will even stall on you (zero power can only be driven at a snails pace)...otherwise its a vacumn leak but a vacum leak that significant will also usually affect the idle speed... you would usually get your revs go up and down at idle...
nathen ride the lightning Legacy Donating Member 338 Member For: 19y 11m 25d Gender: Male Location: sydney Posted 20/12/10 05:53 AM Author Posted 20/12/10 05:53 AM cat removed today .no problems.before taking the cat off we removed inlet pipe so no boost car drove like a normal 6 drove perfect.connected pipes back up spluttered and wouldnt boost over 5 psi.removed cat and all good.replaced all above and with tps feels a little better.so im thinking either wastegate problem or fuel pick up may be blocked.I have a walbro intank pump.just going to check that the cradle is all the way down.feels like car is running out of fuel hesitates and then splutters.how do I reset computer? I will try tps reset again
