NSW loves to lock up too many

Strathfield kiss-off

HERE is a final reader’s horror story about the perils of trying to drop off a passenger in the big city. “Strathfield Council rangers sometimes stealthily hide in the shadow of bushes or trees and take photos of cars attempting to enter or exit school kiss and ride zones,” reports Caroline Lerts. “There is often a queue at peak times as parents try to use these drop-off zones. The reason the council rangers cite for issuing such fines and demerit points is that the cars are in No Stopping zones while queuing to enter the kiss and ride zones. It is nothing more than revenue-raising because in fact the cars are not stopping. They are merely queuing like you would in any traffic jam.” Mrs Lerts concludes with feeling: “The further cowardly act on the rangers’ part is the fact that they do not personally hand you the penalty notice, it gets mailed to your home address.”

A kiss and ride zone??

They give out demerit points for this crap???????
