Rev Limiter

How can this be done. I don't want a rev limiter on my car . How expensive is it to turn off? :banghead:

Very expensive if you blow the motor from over revving it! :lol:

I think you would need to reprogram the ECU to adjust or remove the rev limiter. Harasn might know more about this.

wheeeel, I'm pretty sure the cop cars have it turned off. I'm too capable a driver to over-rev the engine.

IMHO, as a long stroke engine, lots more damage could be done with over reving.

Question. With no redline and no rev limiter, what would you consider the safe rev limit would be?

Cops have the speed limiter off,

you can still over rev your engine despite the rev limiter, changing down and missing a cog, it'll rev its nuts off...... literally.

The computer determines the approprite limit 6000-5500 depending on a lot of parameters. May as well leave it alone and go for power elsewhere, centre muffler airbox mods ect...

now, removing the the speed limiter... Tell me how???? :D

judge by noise, just like me ol' 351. All engines tell you when they're ready. :lol:
