Just came back from a dyno day at RDP in Brisbane. Lee's GS with an x-force zorst and tune make back to back 500s. Yep, 500+hp with a basic tune and zorst. I think the second run was actually 518.

Yes poverty, low rent, sh*t brakes and all of that but it just smacked out 500hp at the treads - nuff said!

The message must be getting through or they just aint selling. Was at Q Ford today and priced up an F6 and GS ute (both auto) and the GS was cheaper. Was looking at 51k driveaway and that included optioning with premium sound. I know it doesn't have all the bling of the F6 and yes Brembos would be nice but, the F6 won't give you the same output (or engine note) with a tune compared to a GS. I also like that they're a bit unique - F6's are everywhere. Which would I buy? Tough 'cause I love turbos. I think if I could option it with Brembos and it came out at the same money, I'd buy the GS.

yeah seen a couple of gs utes on carsales for $49990 at the moment. but in saying that new oak ford in chadstone have 3 brandnew fg f6 utes for sale at the same price. with leather and brembo's, makes it tuff to which to buy.

Just remember thats with the POV screen, the FPV Utes dont come with them standard in either guise so your looking at an extra for the premo sound.

I wonder what the dealer would upgrade the system at ? For the sale. I know what sort of figure the spare parts dept want just for the screen and it's ugly. There has to be some healthy mark up in that system. Surely they would deal well on upgrading it.

With the base price coming down so low so quick they are starting to make sense. Dunno though. It's still an XR8. Not such a bad thing really I guess. Till your in the Parc feme.

I think the F6 stands out as an FPV. Where the GS doesn't......... Not such a bad thing. Fifty though. Not such a bad thing. Sixty would have it "Nice" Or if you already had the wheels, brakes and suspension stuff.

Premo is an $800 option. The car I priced was not a demo - new build. Like I said, 51k driveaway with premo sound - color screen.

Isnt 50 the 'list' price without options and before government charges? So depending on what the dealer gets them for, they might not be making much money on that deal at all.

It is a good price @ that. And I just took on another contract....mmmm That was going to be holiday money instead of slamming the card once a year.

They don't have it on their web or Carpoint. One of the places I work for has its head office is in Springwood. The other ones arn't far from there I think. Was it Bris or the Goldie. Might have to have a squizz at it. Don't think I will like the trade in price with the buy in at that. And I would have to rip mine to bits again.
