Fg Cold Engine Knock

hey all,

fg xr6t. 20,000k's - when reverse parked in driveway on hill, engine has a cold engine knock for few minutes whilst pressure builds up in top end. the muppets at ford tell me this is normal and to not park it like that??? what a load of croc, are they actually series???

if I park on flat, no problem! it's just when reversed up hills and on cold starts...

starting to get really annoyed with this piece of crap quality build... the car is rubbish

ours has pinged a couple of times when wife has reversed up the drive(ALMOST STALLED) ! too low revs and manual were her enemy and caused it ! not heard a knock at all . Is your oil level ok ?? has it always done it ? when was oil changed last and what was used ?

whats it telling you?? By parking it on a hill you are depriving some part of the engine of Oil. For me I wouldnt be doing it.

I wonder where the oil pickup is in the sump ? front/back/centre or what ?

for the love of god, heaven forbid park the car on a hill! why did I buy this piece of crap!!!!

It was serviced at 15K, City Ford - Oil level is max! check it after running engine for a few minutes...

Front, my thinking is it's a simple case of presure building up - either way it's pretty crap... it ain't good which ever way you look at it.

You should have bought a v8 dunnydore and get factory engine rattles as standard. Clearly you must have a crap engine and you should burn it ASAP.
