I dont want to lower the vehicle but want to try and fill the massive rear guards on the fg's. my question is can you put 22" wheels on the back and 20" on the front with out effecting dsc, ect ect? thanks.

I have heard of people getting ABS faults & other weird problems from odd size tyres. If there's a smart Ford tech who you're friendly with they can probably override it with their computer though. (maybe?)You're game wanting 22s. They will look awesome but terrible ride quality, expensive tyres, poor traction...The main thing that spoils the FG utes is how far the wheels are set in rather than the actual diameter. Check out people who have fitted spacers or wide rims with a decent offset & it improves the looks a fair bit. You also really need to lower it to complete the effect. If you put big rims on & it's still way off the ground it will give it the 'Tonka Truck' look like a HSV Avalanche I'd be more worried about trying to drive with 22s than scraping stuff with a lowered vehicle.17s or 18s - good traction/drags19s with wide tyres - improved looks/OK traction20s - if you really have to - bling look/not so good traction22s - Only for Hummers/super flat roads/undriven show cars

Also traction was no worse than normal, probably because of the weight or maybe because they have good tyres on them?As for dsc issues that seems to be hit miss, I never had a problem with it but there are others peoples cars whos abs would play up once a day or something. Pm me if you want some stupidly cheap 20/22s.

I wouldnt worry as much about the speedo.. Id more worry about how annoyingly bouncing and how much you feel every stupid bump in the road lol

And ride quality is not bad with decent suspension ie stock. I didn't notice anymore bumps than when I had 19"s on. Do expect to lose a few kw on the dyno though bBut it's worth it when your car draws a croud whenever you park.

(big diffrence getting into a brand new fg though)

Still have to lower it to complete the look though! Nice effect in the pics on this page. http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=65108&st=36
