Did the same as you mate, waited for ages for a clean car and ended up getting a 08 BFMK2 for 22 grand with under 50 thousand on the clock. Had premium sound, suspension and brakes to . Good deal if you ask me !! Don't be afraid of ex cop cars, just make sure theres no massive damage to them and good service history !! Very happy with mine .

Ive looked at 2 this week one was good outside and smashed up inside and another one hadnt been washed in like 6 months and had no service history. weird for a ex chaser.

Yeh that is strange. Mine had been serviced every 7500kms. And only thing I could fault with the interior is a couple of tiny scratches. Nothing you wouldn't expect from a regular 2 year old car. And still has 8 months factory warranty to !

when I was looking for my bf mk2 I also noticed most of the x cop cars had no service book, but only had owners manuals. do you think some dealers take them out on purpose?

They were there but no stamps till the second owner which was 67500km it has 82000km now. But the car was putrid hadnt been washed for who knows how long, bird s##t all over it.

I have a relatives Pulsar till December 23rd when he gets back from OS, so I need to find one before then, maybe time to look interstate maybe Victoria.

Really not alot out there atm as far as bf mk2's, all the good ones the owners are dreaming. Some guys been trying to sell a red ex cop bf2 for 26500 for as long as I can remember

I know, they think they are a special edition or something. They want mid to high 20s for a bf with 70kms and you can get a FG for 30 now...

You could get a FG for 25,000 if you wanted to. Weaker engine though imo. Depends what you want I guess. I prefer the look of the BFMK2's as well but that's my opinion.

When I was looking there was nothing in Victoria, had to get mine down from NSW. Maybe try SA and QLD ?? Seen a cpl of ok ones in the last 6 months from a dealer in WA too.
