XYZ Legacy Donating Member 1,171 Member For: 17y 15d Posted 22/09/10 12:15 PM Posted 22/09/10 12:15 PM Hey guys,I am considering upgrading my fuel system and adding an additional 044 pump to my process west surge tank..One concern, as it is my company car I’m a little concern how load the twins will be.. The whine of the single 044 atm is tolerable, however how much more noise will the additional pump make? Can anyone give me feed back on their experiences with this set up? I was trying to hunt down the higher flowing 413 pump, however looks like they aren’t making them anymore.Any feed back would be great!CheersBen
senna_T Forged Member Legacy Donating Member 15,818 Member For: 19y 7m 25d Gender: Male Location: SW Sydney Posted 22/09/10 12:21 PM Posted 22/09/10 12:21 PM As long as its not solid mounted to the body, it shouldn't be too bad - putting some insulating rubber between the pump bracket, and then between the base plate and the body goes a long way to keeping them quieter - but they are a noisy pump by nature, hence the "Motorsport" part in the name!But on the hoon side of thinking, twin or triple pumps sound like power! awesome!
