Guys, how tight should I nip up the oil pressure switch side against the copper washer and banjo ?

I'm worried about crushing the banjo if I over tighten.

Short of trying to get a torque rench in there, a firm nip up should be fine. Make sure you have sanded the copper washers with some fine wet-n-dry on a FLAT SURFACE (Glass is the best for this). I also found doing this to the 2 aluminum washers on the filter help it to seal as mine leaked on both ends of the filter, even though I thought I tightened it up properly.

Do you mean that you sand the washers if re-using the old ones ?

I didn't sand them as I had new ones for which fraud charged me my left testicle.

I just put a thin smear of gasket sealant either side of each washer, mild tension to tighten and no leaks. :buttrock:

I have bought these from Earls.

http://www.earls.com.au/files/49ff9a6ab4b96-BILLETLINECLAMPSSEPARATORS.pdf

The return pipe is 12mm. So I've gone for the 1/2 inch clamp. I've put some high temp electrical tape

on the pipe to make it up to 1/2 inch diameter.

They're not cheap either - $47 for two in blue.

Used Tommy Tape silicon rubber wrap (red stuff) to increase the diameter of the return pipe for the hose clamps.

Its temp range is -60c to +200c.

It bonds to itself and cures in 24 hours. $13 bucks from Bunnings.

Earls clamps from the above post.

So my earls oil line has started leaking in 2 places now and its gotta come back off.

What have people found the best way too seal this bastard. Mine was perfect for a good 20000kms. I used sanded copper washers on the block and pressure switch, But never had to do anything with the filter itself but now that's leaking. Will thread tape do here??
