Pw Surge Tank Wiring

Thanks for the replies. I ended up wiring it with the earth from the pump to the surge tank bolt, one long wire from the pump to the relay near the fuse box, the power wire with the inline fuse to positive on the fuse box, earth to the standard earth on the body beside where the battery used to be and the trigger wire to the pink wire under the standard fuel pump relay. Seems to be working fine. I was surprised at how quiet the 044 was. Next mission, valve springs. Thanks for the help guys.

This pink wire, which one is it?

I've un-taped the main fat section of loom coming from the fuse box, and found a thin pink wire with grey/silver dots along it. it was sort of twisted in with a purple wire, and actually loops back into the smaller loom above the main loom that goes to the thermo fans etc. This wire wasn't getting 12v either when the car was running so I don't think that's it.

There's some thicker pink wires, in towards the middle of the loom but they're quite a bit thicker.

Cant get the fuse box apart to see wire is actually coming from the factory relay either.

If you remove the wires that are clipped into the fuse box, untape the main harness going to the box and unclip I think 4 clips it will come out and you can splice into the pink wire going to the fuel pump relay. That's on a fg, bf ba I think you have a bolt or two to remove. If not you can wire it to the wire on the stock pump.

Found it, turns out it is the thicker of the pink wires in the main fat section of the loom.
