Hey all,

Went out an industrial area near me to give the BA a bit fun. In third gear at around 5000rpm the battery failed. The engine died and the battery and oil lights came on, the steering and brakes also were basically non-existant. Tried it again last night to see if I got the same and this time it happened in 2nd gear. The car starts back up fine though. Was wondering if anyone knows what the problem is?

Your car stalled the battery didnt fail.

If your engine is dieing at 5000rpm it may mean that the coil packs have worn out.

Is there any struggling as it reaches 5000rpm?
