Not for track or anything, just a street car... Not driven really hard... Well, maybe occasionally... :-) Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/68317-ba-brake-pads-to-go-with-dba-4000-slotted-discs/ Share on other sites
Guest EGOXRT Guests Posted 23/05/10 04:50 AM Share Posted 23/05/10 04:50 AM (edited) Best street pad I have used by far and, cheap to boot are the TRW/Lucas. Be prepared for dust heaven but these have super bite, cold, hot you name it. They also come in a ceramic, less dust but less performance.Any ABS brake centre should have these in stock and will cost you about $80. I have tried them all, from Ferodo Formulas, DS, Ultimate, PBR, Performance Friction and the list goes on, these kill them all on the street. Everything else has brake dust anyway!!! My wheels are also mainly black with black dish... So not as worried about brake dust... turbotrana Member 2,586 Member For: 22y 1m 16d Gender: Male Posted 24/05/10 04:33 AM Share Posted 24/05/10 04:33 AM I am not a fan of slotted rotors. I think they chew out the pads and you can feel the slots thru the brake pedal. I think it does give better bite to the pad though. I suggest you have a look at Race Brakes RB24 pads. I just fitted this morning my BA with rear DBA 4000 slotted rotors and RB24 pads. No dust and brakes well from my experience with the fronts which I had fitted with DBA 4000 slotted rotors and RB24 pads back in June 2009. I can't recommend Howard, Cameron and Roger at Race Brakes enough - not only did I get to buy Aussie products through and through - the performance I had from my front combination has been great - absolutely no brake shudder (which was the reason I did the fronts originally), hardly any brake dust and the stopping power is great (but I'm no expert on that). Good value as well - under $500 to have DBA 4000 slotted rotors with RB24 pads fitted while you wait !!!Race Brakes is at 2 Minnie St, Yarraville VIC and phone 03 9687 7222Here's a write up I did a while ago about them doing my front brakes.
