It may not only be the pads so if you can wait a few more weeks you may have some answers from FORD. I can't wait! Went for a drive yesterday to pick up the moggie after being away for a month and that was the only thing that pissed me off.A darn sight better than the Pontiac Aztec I was driving in the US Simon....

The standard ones warp as soon as someone looks sideways at them and the *cough* Premium squeal like a virginal schoolgirl. Even the Brembos seem to have the occasional issue with pad knock-off.Does Ford actually do any testing? If so, why did these problems not show up? If these probs did show up (or course they did) why did Ford release the car with such crappy brakes? Brakes are a major safety item, OK the squeal is more an annoyance than a safety issue but it still should have been resolved before the car was released to the public. Ditto the other brake issues.NOT GOOD ENOUGH FORD.

The front calipers are different to accomodate for the thicker disc (28mm for the standard disc as compared with 32mm for the premium). The caliper is not a 4 pot still just a 2 pot but with an increase in piston size (40.5mm) I believe? The rears are same caliper as standard with the disc having the same dimensions as standard but with the addition of the grooves.
