Premium Brakes

Could someone with Premiums remove a pad and take a pic of it and draw around the profile for me ?

I'm trying to track down some pads for this very reason for a customer but I can't find a listing anywhere.

I'm certainly not going to borrow some from Ford and my customer isn't currently able to do it himself.

DattoMan:

This might be a bit of an unrealistic request. I am sure if you try you can find out what pad goes in the Premium caliper.

I certainly dont have the time to pull my brakes apart to do a drawing of a pad for you!

cheers! Loluck!

I have about 2000k's on the clock now but I haven't heard a whisper from the brakes.

For people who have/continue to experience this problem, does the noise go once the brakes are warm (ie. a couple of heavy stomps)?

My brakes even squeal after some heavy stopping....I was told by Ford Customer Service that I should have one foot on the brakes and the other on the pedal whilst driving and keep it for around a minute...to warm up the pads and that would get rid of the squeal...well it doesn't work....squeal squeal squeal.....

I don't have a Falcon. I don't NEED to know what the pads are.

The comsumer does.

No skin off my arse

A lot of the squeal you are experiencing has to do with the brake dust build-up that forms in the grooves of the disc rotors.

Have seen more of it lately - due to the fact ther are more B.A's out ther with Premium Brakes than there were on A.U.

You are pretty much stuck with the noise unfortunately - but hey - DONT THEY STOP WELL ??!!!

I received a courtesy phone call from customer service yesterday and they have told me the fix is a few weeks away. It may not only be the pads so if you can wait a few more weeks you may have some answers from FORD.
