Hey Gary, the 11th is FARKED if you wanna drive up.

Baw Baw Classic 2010

Turns out its some cycling event.

It SAYS Sunday 11th MARCH but on the calender it says April and March never had a Sunday 11th this year.

Restaraunt that we ate at last time should be open as it is still the Green Season.

Guys, I also HIGHLY reccomend getting a handheld UHF for this cruise.

When driving on the twisties it is good to send someone crazy ahead so they can let the followers know when something is coming the other way.

It is a very narrow road and can be quite scary when a car comes the other way at the same speed..........

Also watch out for the FINAL hairpin right at the top.

They use differnt bitumen that wont freeze during winter but on a warmer day it is slippery as hell and caused SAVAGE understeer and made us all butt pucker until it gripped.

Put me down as a maybe for now as its still too far ahead.

Cominf from Hoppers, Fountain Gate is not my first stop for shopping. So, is bunnings readily visible from the front? Once would expect though that a dozen or so XRTs would stand out somewhat at 9 am on a Sunday morning.

Gary I assume same rules apply that if its raining we will cancel?

Yep, we'll make a call closer to the date and on the day in the morning about 7am - I'll post up if the cruise is ON or otherwise

Thanks Maximus for checking :stirthepot:

So guys, there are actually 2 cycling events that weekend - one on Saturday and one on Sunday - so best avoid that weekend - 28 day predicts rain then anyway now.

Saturday 10 April is the Baw Baw Challenge by CycleSport Victoria and is a recreational ride.

Sunday 11 April is the Baw Baw Classic by Warragul Cycling Club

I've booked us in for the Village Central for lunch on Sunday 18 April - so no need to pack sandwiches if you don't want to :spoton:

Weather outlook is a bit dodgy though - roads may be slippery due to previous days' rains even it don't actually rain on the day we go - let's see.
