Does the actuator make any noise when you lock/unlock?
GNU UP Member 124 Member For: 17y 28d Gender: Male Location: sydney south Posted 04/03/10 08:16 PM Author Posted 04/03/10 08:16 PM yeah it locks and unlocks with remote perfect, its just when the car is locked if you lift up right hand rear door handle the car unlocks...the actual actuator gear is working as the old one was snapped, are you refering to the whole assembly rather than just the plastic gear? I.e. locking mecanism that you remove to get to actuator?cheers

You may find that lifting the handle isn't actually unlocking that door, but just opening it and triggering the interior light, which in turn unlocks the rest of the car.Go exchange that actuator just to rule out the possibility that it's got a weak servo motor or something like that. Then if it still plays up, you may need to get it to an auto electrics place so they figure it out.You could try rigging up a test light to the connection and watching for it to flash as you lock/unlock the car, or take the actuator out and watch it's movement when doing the same.
