Quite frankly I (and other camheads) don;t care if we are going to save a few cents here or ther.

I just want the BEST FUEL that I can spend my money on. The fuel companies and their subsidiaries seem tom forget about this.

I don't want ethanol, I don't want an extra 4c off per litre if I buy the XXXXX branded nappies/frozen foods from a particular store nor do I want some galoot at a branded servo to look at me quizically when I ask him what the best oil weight they have for sale for a 10.5: 1 compression Chrysler big block.

I want the best goddamned fuel I can buy to put into my beastie to make it run healthy, clean and strong

Is that too much to ask??

In advertising terms you CANNOT , make claims that you cant support , ie IGA would have to honour the chit.Misleading advertising ,ACCC & all that

The soap powder commentary was a curio only as I am very close to the grocery industry.

Keep smilin :)

Talking about fuels, why is avgas illegal to use on the street, but light aircraft can still fly around using it?

I am quite willing to pay the extra bit to use avgas in my s/c XC, but not when its illegal!

Plonky, I think we both agree, they can keep their cheap sh*t and just give me some good clean high octane fuel,

FYI for anyone who is reading this and doesnt realise they fill fuel with detergents as well as the ethanol we all hear about, no only that, but the amount of bacteria and water that gets into fuel is horendous, TIP: you know when you see one of the big tankers filling a station and you think great "fresh fuel" wrong, it is stirring up the sh*t from the bottom and they dont clean that sludge etc out until it reaches around about 8" off the bottom. As part of the position I hold I get to see some great info on this and similar and my eyes have been opened. Stick with BP or my preference Shell and stick with the high octane,

Zak :)

Good question. What is the best fuel on the market?? Optimax, Ultimate, Synergy?? We pay enough for any of them.....

I'm in Dallas Texas at the moment and fuel prices are around $1.47 to $1.67 for a US gallon. As a US gallon is around 3.8l, that means fuel is around 40c/l for low octane and around 45c/l for high octane.

Interesting to that they have octane levels ranging from 85 to a highest I've seen of 93. Maybe that's what keeps the price down.......naaahhh.

I miss my T.....sob...sob.
