post-16339-126571263278_thumb.jpg

Got my T back from its 60K service the other day and was poking around the engine when I noticed this clamp was completely loose (runs from cross over to turbo)

Couple of Questions:

Is there any reason why it would be deliberately loose? As far as I can see it could have been sucking dirty air in. I have no idea how long it has been like that.

Is it too much to expect Ford to pick it up on a service (think I know the answer to this one.....)

An oversight from a silly mechanic taking the crossover off to check plugs or coils possibly - and yes, it is silly to think a Ford mechanic will see this...

throw the clamps away and put some new ones on - I used to tighten mine every week and sure enough they would be loose again by the next week

The factory ones like to snap as well if you tighten them enough and I dont mean by over tightening either.

Don't over tighten those things either, you'll crack the rubber and have to buy snazzy blue silicone ones when you find out how much Fraud replacements cost.
