You could try the wreckers, but what are the chances of finding a written off XR8 with a useable bonnet lid ?

I can get a fibre glass one but havnt been entirely happy with them. I have spoken to a supplier who does plastic resin B series XR8 bonnets, of which the quality looks great, about doing a FG bonnet and we should have the mould ready to go shortly. Price shouldn't be anymore the $850 unpainted.

I can still provide them. I sent one over to RIXT in WA but we were not 100% happy with the work that was required to get it to sit flush and even (not to mention the fact it arrived damaged). I am about to have that particular bonnet sent to a fibreglass fabricator who will get that bonnet repaired and ready to go on my car. If its not too much work involved I will continue to sell and promote them. Give me 2 weeks and I will show some pics of it on my car.

Bumping this thread up- I just priced a genuine XR8 bonnet from Ford for $1599.75 which is $1185 more than a standard bonnet!!

Obviously the non-genuine steel bonnets I see on fleabay are nowhere near as much- but what are the quality like compared to the genuine items??
