Standard Ba Rods

Heaps. They are rated at 250hp so 1500hp. And they'll cop a bit more I reckon. Using them in my build. I think there are a couple of big bangers using them. Very strong rod.

Hey staughs. I'll speak to my tuner about the rods, because he will be fitting them and see what he think because honestly when it comes down to the block work, I would rather talk to someone who has been doing it for alot longer than me lol.

I usually give it a bit of a caning when I can, but I treat it nicely when I clean/service so I kinda feel better about it sometimes, that the car isnt just getting caned and not looked after haha. As for the tune, I would proberly opt for something with a little less "agression" and something that isnt so hard on the engine as I would really like to keep everything intact.

Mika, Dion at Dynomite Performance will be doing some of the fitment and tune. I can competently fit the kit but anywhere where the I <3 Bananas up could be costly and im not 100% im leaving to him, like the fuel system and turbo housing.

oh, and stuahgsberry, how is your build coming along, I was following it on falconxr6turbo.com but there hasnt been much acticity in your thread.

If money is an issue, grab some Spool rods. They'll do the job and they'll be $250 cheaper than Argo's.

Build has reached a couple of small milestones and I've spent a few more K! I'll do an update here. I did small update over there last week.

Ahk I havnt checked on it in a while, will have a look now.

Money is sorta the issue, I dont wanna open it up and only do the rods, not worth the time and effort of pulling it apart. Would rather do everything in one go when I strip it down, pistons, rods, valves, strip the cylinder head, clean it up etc etc.

there's alot of ppl running low 300's on ba rods but the tune has alot 2 do with it.

my engine went just under 300rwkw but wasnt running all that good so now it has an fg f6 bottom end with billet oil pump gears.

Since theb ive changed tuners and dion at dynomite does all my work on the car so ill be getting him 2 build me another motor in the future and take my complete engine out and drop the new 1 in, than just sell the fg f6 motor with everything.

Sounds nice mate, how did you go about sourcing out he FG F6 motor? Lemme know how you go with the new build when you decide to get it done, wouldnt mind checking it out as I will probarbly head down that track one day aswell.

Didn't want to start another thread about BA rods so I'll put this in here. What would be a rough $ figure for a workshop to fit just rods?...Thinking about getting some spool rods for my BAII. Would it be worth/needed to get forged pistons at all?, as I'm staying at 340rwks.
