I just purchased an FG F6 short motor, and am curious as to if haydns all went together okay. I've got a BF1, so am a litle worried about engine mounts matching up etc.?.?.?

Any tips for putting it all together again? I'd love to buy a set of rods for it, but money is tight so I'm probably gonna detune to 350ish and be content. Even though some people are pulling BIG numbers from stock FG's.

There's a water fitting on the passenger side of the motor that needs to be blocked with a grub screw of the associated size if its not going into a FG body. Other than that, everything else bolts up.

350rwkw is the norm for stock bottom ends.

Personally whilst you've got it at this stage, invest in a set of conrods.. Spool for instance.. This would be the cheapest time to get them fitted. Keep the standard pistons to save money, they seem to handle a sh*t load more power than the conrods do, that's for sure.
