I've been getting a lot of very different answers to this question, so I'm interested to see how much power people have got out of 98ron fuel...

see, this is what I thought, but I was told that 98ron fuel can only make so much power...

I was hoping for around 500ish on 98ron, but I was told that it's not possible.

I would think most of the posts in the 300 club and above were done on 98 RON fuel. Supporting mods and their quality, especially intercoolers and the tune will play a major part and comparing standard engines with rebuilt lower compression engines will obviously give very different results. No point even considering other cars like the post above because there are too many variables.

I wouldnt say impossible but why bother apart from saying ive got 500kw on the street. Not a bad thing & we'll probabaly have a crack at pushing things to the limit powerwise on pump fuel but realistically how the F can we use 500kw on the street. lol. I think most keep to around 470 or there about purely for daily drivability. Travis' ute made 630 on race fuel & 470 odd on pump with a lazy 20psi that thing could easily crack 500 but would be too much of a handful id suspect. Pump fuel can be abit unpredictable quailty wise so your better off giving yaself room for error especially after spending a fortune on a new engine. The last thing you want is damage for the sake of saying ive got 700 plus hp all day. that's my theory anyway.

Its good to hear that its possible. More so do you have any info on this car, would be interesting to see whats needed to run this type of power day in day out.
