STUDentWOK Member 38 Member For: 15y 8m 17d Gender: Male Posted 11/11/09 12:24 PM Author Share Posted 11/11/09 12:24 PM Yeh I kno the liquid runs off the ECU! My petrol consuption was awesome, poured about 65-69 Litres run consistently 440-450 kms and that's me always gunning it! average cost was $80+, now im pouring $25 bucks of gas, about 40 something Litres and only getting 200 km! And I know many people out there get alot more out of a liquid set up! So I know its something to do with the installation or the tank or injectors or something but cos im still new to the scene I dont know where 2 even begin!Sensors plus airintake r all good! recently upgraded to a COLD AIR INTAKE POD so should be even better than before! Whats this about the injectors being installed straight?? if they werent? could it be the reason im consuming 20 Litres per 100 km?? My dodgy calculations show that your were averaging over 15.5/100km on petrol which I think is high to begin with. This will have a direct relation to your high LPG consumption in connection with your difficulty filling your tank over 42L. Personally, to begin with get your tank filling issues sorted and then worrie about your consumption. You should be able to get around 50L in your tank behind the seat as I can get close to 50L with my doughnut tank. Tank my figures into consideration. I have a BF T 6 speed auto. I consistantly get low 11'sL/100km from petrol and get around 14L/100km on LPG. My LPG doughnut tank fills around 47-48L and I get around 330km per tank. STUDentWOK Member 38 Member For: 15y 8m 17d Gender: Male Posted 13/11/09 05:02 PM Author Share Posted 13/11/09 05:02 PM yeh that works out to be about 15 L/100 which is normal aint it?? I normal thrash it alot and im sure that's how much others r getting with their xr6 T.....11 Litres/100 is low im sure! My tank sits behind my seats, but because I have the subwoofer he needed to get a different tank which he said was smaller! again I dnt kno how much every 1 is filling their tank up for but, now afta reading wat every 1 else is getting from their's I need to go find out what the hell is going on!SIGH!!! Pube Member 159 Member For: 18y 6d Gender: Male Location: Sydney, NSW Posted 14/11/09 01:47 AM Share Posted 14/11/09 01:47 AM Try not thrashing your car so much and drive it easy a few tanks. I have found that when giving it some on LPG it drinks it a lot more than giving it some on petrol. I still think 15L/100 is high consumption to begin with.Did your installer discuss with you fitting a doughnut tank? or even removing the crappy factory subwoofer and fitting the larger tank? What is your petrol usage like on long highway trips? STUDentWOK Member 38 Member For: 15y 8m 17d Gender: Male Posted 14/11/09 04:20 AM Author Share Posted 14/11/09 04:20 AM when installing I decided not to go for the doughnut as a sparewheel is a must for me! I dnt mind having the smaller tank but the issue is the km im getting r way off! Okies I will fill a fulltank on petrol and lighten the foot and c how it goes, and then fill a full lpg tank and c how that goes! but im sure its got to do more with how the set up was installed, first big real problem ive had with lpg b4 and ive owned a few cars b4 with lpg! STUDentWOK Member 38 Member For: 15y 8m 17d Gender: Male Posted 15/11/09 05:25 PM Author Share Posted 15/11/09 05:25 PM The GCTXR6, yeh I know liquid injection, shud be better consumption wise than vapour, so I now know I got problems somewhere!Okies well I said I would and I went the last few days from full to empty 42 Litres not gunning/thrashing it (everything under 3000rpm) normal day traffic, and im still getting 220 km per tank! only the extra 10 kms on a full tank of gas, STILL FALLS WAY SHORT OF WHATS EXPECTED!I barely go long distance but I am expecting to go down to the gong this week and will fill up a full tank of petrol and c how not thrashing it will go, but im sure there is sumthing wrong with my lpg set up!Okies Lets say my petrol consumption on my car is high which inreturn means I burn more gas (Since its using the same ECU as petrol) what do you guys think it could be??? and where would I go to get this fixed?? as u can imagine, the longer I leave this the more it will cost me in the long run, so as I dont kno much about this just wondering what the problem could be?? And I know it could be a long list but any advice would help ALOT!Cheers Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/63381-liquid-injection-lpg/page/2/#findComment-954277 Share on other sites
