Go ahead, try it but please let us all know the results of your experiment. I am not asking anyones permission I am more interested if anyone has gone down a similar route. And I dont think the above information is correct about the set up being illegal. As this is a factory ford set up. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/61305-xr6-turbo-on-straight-gas/page/2/#findComment-931404 Share on other sites

Modifying an standard egas system would also deem it as non emission complient unless you had it tested at the emission labs, but then again most the mods we do are illegal. Half the mods on cars these days are illegal. I dont think passing emissions would be my biggest worry. But if I had to get emission testing done I would probably reconsider as its a very costly process. The only place that I know that do it in melbourne is Vipac and they charge around $3500 for the test (if you fail you need to re-do whole test again and pay the $3500 again also)So can the standard factory ford set up be modified for the injected gas set up? and how much cost is involved? BoostedVT Member 15 Member For: 15y 8m 10d Posted 10/09/09 10:49 AM Author Share Posted 10/09/09 10:49 AM hrrmz, well in that case I would probably want to stay away from that then. Purely for the reason as I stated above I CBF spending and modding the car that much.Would you be able to give me a price how much you would charge to tune the car with factory ford gas set up? I am aware I will need to run a second converter they can only supply enough for around 200rwk.Feel free to PM if you do not wish to post on the forum.
