Fake Siemens

I keep seeing people selling their 2nd hand siemens 60 lb injectors and referring to them as genuine.

These questions are not aimed at the sellers, but just general posters

Has anyone ever had a set of fakes?

How do you tell a genuine from a fake?

How do you know the ones you have are genuine, because the seller told you they were?

Did the genuines come with a certificate of authenticity? (which could be copied any way)

I got mine from a seller on ebay called performanceworld, mine came in a big VDO box and were all in indervidual VDO packageing with the corect deka part number on the actual injector so im prittty sure they were genuine, also brought my walbro from the which was the same deal

I got mine from the wog ( nick ) this is 3 years ago I assume they are genuine .

same here. Got the same ones. 60lb's for 400$. Picked them up myself from Coburg (Vic). They will be fitted this week/next!

Bought mine off a reputable seller (injectors online) so would hope they are doing the right thing?

Also, have heard that the china knock offs are hard to tune with & mine weren't...

I remember this being brought up when the siemens first hit the market.

I dont think there ever were any 'fakes', they were all the same, and had the same markings on the injectors. someone accused someone else of peddling fakes (it was probably someone accusing the wog), but they ended up being legit.

I havnt seen any fakes as yet, Ive purchased bulk orders from a few different US and local suppliers now and they always look exactly the same, they have "DEKA" stamped on the sideand 107961 at the top, and their individual code lower down, in gold text.

I was told that VDO buy them direct from Seimens, so I guess this is why some come with VDO labling and others dont, but this is only a guess.

There are fake Walbro pumps around, but Ive never seen any injectors.
