Its been said to cause engine seizure, sounds like someone has made an expensive mistake.Anyone on here no anything about this or been affected by it?
dashturbo Legacy Donating Member 280 Member For: 18y 1m 10d Gender: Male Location: Watsonia Posted 07/08/09 12:18 AM Posted 07/08/09 12:18 AM I have...Its silicon oil... leaves white residue everywhere in the motor, seems like it fills and ruptures the fuel filter first, then wrecks injectors, valves, catalytic converters, rings etc... in our case, it would probably destroy the turbo too.seems like the fuel was bought a few weeks ago in most cases so its probably too late for us..Its all around Victoria not just Melbournefrom what I have heard so far anyone supplied by mobil could be affected, which includes Caltex/Safeway, Mobil and all independants that use Mobil fuel. And suspicion is being placed upon the trucks that supplied the fuel.I hope nobody here is affected, keep all your reciepts for fuel guys..

Lucky I did maybe?!Any idea on how I'd know if my last tank (from mobil) would have affected my car?

Apparently they have had several cars with buggered engines.It is only in Victoria.
