Grug Member 1,318 Member For: 16y 9m 11d Posted 30/07/09 08:14 AM Share Posted 30/07/09 08:14 AM I currently own an 07 XR6T with 68,000 on the clock. I was just down at the dealership waiting for my car to finish being serviced when something caught my eye, an 05 Typhoon with 45,000 on the clock for $37,900. Now, I was considering spending about 7k on my car to bring it up to about 320rwkw. If in my position, would you spend the money on the current car, or sell it and get the phoon? Not being rude, but do you think you can get $30 for your car either as a private sale or a trade-in?You may end up getting less and having to spend more than $7K to end up with the stock phoon... And remember insurance, transfer fees, stamp duty, licencing if needed, anything the phoon needs (Tyres/Service etc) Might end up being quite pricey...I hope that the phoon is a BF - You didn't specifiy... If it is a BA, then I'd say probably not. A BF with a ZF on the other hand is up to you...You may get 300rwkw+ for less than $7K as well mate - I'd say you almost definitely could. The other guys above both have valid points as well - Have you considered an FG? You also know your car - Some idiot might have own the F6 before and treated it badly...It is a hard choice mate, but keep thinking about it - You'll work something out.Good luck,Dan Edited 30/07/09 09:12 AM by NVT Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/60164-what-to-do/#findComment-914399 Share on other sites

But if its red it should already be fast Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/60164-what-to-do/#findComment-914405 Share on other sites
Grug Member 1,318 Member For: 16y 9m 11d Posted 30/07/09 09:55 AM Author Share Posted 30/07/09 09:55 AM Its a BF with ZF. I suppose its probably better to keep my current car and make that faster. Just love the look of the phoons. Also, about the FG, the styling really hasn't grown on me yet. Different cars IMO3/Assume you will need to do a thorough service on the Phoon. All lubricants and filtersThe ZF alone will cost moneyIf it were me I'd go stretch the finances a few K and go the Phoon Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/60164-what-to-do/#findComment-914419 Share on other sites

Keep your car and mod it.Being a late model BF you can spend 4k on performance mods and wipe the floor with a stock F6.
