Hi there

Getting a full 4"xforce system and a process west intercooler stage 2 on this week.

It's getting fit at my mechanics, then getting tuned at another place across town.

Will it hurt the car by driving it around without it being tuned properly. (I would rather avoid driving it, but it has to get there somehow)

Apparently the engine light comes on....?

Anything else to be concerned about?

Cheers,

When I ugraded my exhaust from an APS to a full custom dump/Cat 4" set up I minced it to the tuner a few suburbs over.

It was then dynoed and was very lean under even moderate load, so do not stand on it at all.Nice and easy does it.

You should be OK . Are you doing the cat as well as the cooler and Zorst ? Big jumps from the stock set up

Yes your engine light will come on due to the 02 sensor, your tuner will be able to sort it.

Thanks guys, yep ill be going across very slowly... cheers. The engine light will be freaking me out, but if its just the O2 sensor, then no worries.

Yep its a full stainless 4" system with the process west stage 2 intercooler. Then take it to the tuner to fit up xcal3 + injectors and tune.

Just don't want to blow the engine up.... :)

I was wondering about almost the same thing, except on a bf. Should be ok (I hope) if you keep off boost and only give it light throttle. I'm thinking about doing the same thing but I need to drive 2 hours (mostly freeway) for a tune.

Rather than starting a new thread...

Going for a custom tune in week and a half, can I replace my standard cooler with the F6 one that I bought and drive it around till its tuned?

I had to drive an hour to get a tune done. We put a turbo on a 10.3:1CR 4cyl motor so I wired the wastegate open and just babied it there anyway.
