Hi

My turbo is making a loud grinding noise.I say it's bearings and its not good.

I was qouted $1100 to fix bearings or $2200 for new turbo if bearings has worn right thru ?

Im thinking,I be better off just buying a whole new turbo and fitting myself ?

New turbo are around $1000 ? Wheres best place to get one ?

Rebuilds can be had for $785.00

Worst case, replacment cores are around $1650.00

You could try MR Turbo on the Gold Coast.

A new core is $1250 and will fix your problem unless you have scored the compressor housing badly. A new turbo with internal wastegate is closer to $2000.

$5500 from Fraud mwahahahah ahahaahahha... why does this not surprise me since the last quotes I had from them were $4500, $1000, $2560 and $1200 for a new clutch, master cylinder, new PBR discs and full set of brake pads respectively.. not inc fitting either !!

Clutch needed new fluid and bleeding = $11

Master cylinder 100% fine

discs are $190 ea for equivalent DBA's

pads are about $160 total

fecken ripoff scum !! I feel sorry for the 'not so knowledgeable' ford owners like senior citizens etc who are ripped off by these f*ckers!
