So DVS yours surges under load in higher gears?

No, not jus in higher gears but in all gears. It`s most noticeabie in first, second and third. But it does it in forht and fifth and only under load.

After the first tune, I took it straight back complaining about a suge and the tuner thought he had smoothed it out, but it`s only noticeable on the street and not the dyno. (Mind you the tuner was a very respectable Sydney tuner). I rang him again and he mentioned to me that some of thses 6T`s have had this problem and left it at that. . .

Since then I`ve added a cooler and about to add injectors and pump. I`m gonna get it re-tuned and see what happens. . . . Maybe I`ll try another tuner.

definately sounds like your hitting a torque limit and he hasnt gone far enough.

I had the same issue with my car ages ago....

go to far on the torque limits and no cruise control...

dont go far enough and it surges...... in both normal and performance modes...

every car is different and it takes some time to find a happy medium where your car wont hit a torque limit as it will have to be road tested while after your tuner makes and adjustment to see if what he has changed has worked.

dodgy coils usually show up on the dyno , last time mine dropped a coil it wouldn't make over 150rwkw

as Ratter said these things are near impossible to fix over the net

I did the same as you are thinking , when mine played up the tuner told me to replace the plugs ,then I thought maybe coils , replaced them none of it helped

have you thought about just buying or sending your flash box to Pitlane and tell him your mods and get him to do a 10 psi generic type tune for you and load that ,then see how it goes

Its being tuned via VCM, so tunes are directly made onto the ECU. I dunno, just reading a few posts found that this has corrected other surging issues, although I accept it may not be the case for me. The tuner sad the existing coils seem satisfactory but some tested better than others.

I have mates that are very good with vcm and the holdens and they are having trouble getting the ford stuff sorted .

I don't think you have much choice either keep being the guinea pig for this bloke till he works it out

or as I said go the flashbox from some one like pitlane

from the position your in with no other workshops really available , it's really all youy can do , just try keep the communication between you and the tuner open and free so you both know what's going on

that's what I said 2 start with, coils. I would definately change them mate and they eventually have 2 be changed anyway. but buy some good ones.
