10.99 @ 123 in the calais last night after taking a sh*tload of timing out in comparison to Wednesday Nights 10.89... Damn!

Ended up red lighting in the semi, but extended my 2nd place points lead in the series regardless. Happy days :spoton:

Expensive Daewoo v Ford on 25th April ladies... It's one of the friendliest events to enter as a novice as there are so many beginners that just rock up for the rivalry aspect & running quick times, with no real bracket racing experience. My mate got through a few rounds last year in his Clubsport with a manual box & street tyres, so it's not only open to stupid quick cars with slicks & auto's. Get amongst it :spoton:

You raise some good points Dean. My first ever run down the strip was a Expensive Daewoo V Ford day @WSID.

It was a great day and the Expensive Daewoo guys were really helpful to a newbie.

With their advise I pulled a 12.9 first ever run with 250 rwkw. Not quick these days but raised

a few eyebrows 8+ years ago.

As said get out there and have some fun

Definitely an awesome event with plenty of helpful people about on both sides of the fence. There will also be some pb's set by anyone that hasn't raced anything other than a WAW as they prep the track & move the startline forward to the 'proper' position, making the track 1320ft long instead of 1323ft. 3 ft doesn't sound like much, but it will actually drop your 60ft time substantially which drops your 1/4 mile et by the same margin at the top end, if not a little more!

Can I run a ten in that case? LOL

I see what you did there...

Can rock up on the day & enter I believe, but best to check with plex. It's cheaper if you enter online anyway & only takes 5mins to sign up...

Remember though, normal ANDRA rules apply. 1.99 or quicker requires ANDRA license, harness, TS Loop, Battery Isolator if applicable & 10.99 or quicker needs all of the above + cage.
