Just noticed when doing spark plugs, this part of my throttle body missing, could it possibly linked to a laggy feeling and boost coming on late??

You mean its just the small black cap from the throttle position right? You do lose a bit of boost through there, try getting a rubber chair leg stopper and a hose clamp to seal it up.

yeah that's the one, will try find something to bung it, inside diameter of 35mm

but it doesnt look to be anything that serious though? like I dont think the cap was even that sealed in the first place.

definately sealed and on there 4 a reason. on the original clip there is a recess a rubber seal and 2 clips 2 secure.

Is it the aluminium cover that's bolted on there that you're all missing?? or is the picture you displayed missing the missing bit?
