27/02/09 11:35 AM27/02/09 11:35 AM #1 Well I'm abit of a forum junky these day & being that our family bought a brand new VE 6.0L Calais I thought id join the holden/ls1 forum & have a look around. I stumbeed on a bloke there that pulled a 9.98 @ 141mph. Specs are completely unopened vy ss except valve springs with a set of twin screws on the side. Full weight as well. Not a bad effort at all. Credit where credit is due I say. I dont have any more specs but unopened alone is a huge effort. Makes the efforts of blokes like Dave (blueboost) at 10.5 even more astonishing using a unopened ba as well. Good old 4ltr.LINK SUB10 UNOPENED HOLDEN
27/02/09 09:31 PM27/02/09 09:31 PM #2 that's impressive! I like how he got p0w3d by the guy after claiming to be the first
28/02/09 02:21 PM28/02/09 02:21 PM #3 50% larger capacity than our engines. 2 more cylinder and 2 turbo's, you would expect it too be quick

28/02/09 11:51 PM28/02/09 11:51 PM #6 And they'd see a bunch of Fords, whoopee frickin doo.As already proven over on LS1, its not the first. But still impressive, none the less.

01/03/09 03:30 AM01/03/09 03:30 AM #8 Author the reason I posted & was impressed was because it was unopened & full weight. Somebody has obviously done alot of work on it & someone can obviously tune these things. Edited 01/03/09 03:44 AM01/03/09 03:44 AM by qik1
01/03/09 09:15 AM01/03/09 09:15 AM #9 must be added that the time was run on race fuel, not sure what it would run on PULP. Impressive though whichever way you look at it!Lets not forget that Chris from Bluepower's Boss also ran a 10.05@136 unopened stock motor. So do I think Fords are quick? Yep!
