I'm with Tab. If it runs on lpg its pretty common. My dads Vt commy had the same thing for ages til he took the car to an lpg specialist.

There is a solution.

Leads seemed to be a big problem on the lpg commodores. Not sure about the xt's(Have they the same coil setup as the XR6T)

Other then that they actualy replaced the airbox. With some sort of flap to accomodate the poping. Not sure on the excact details thou.

Just guessing it's the coil packs...seems to be everyone's second favourite diagnosis.

"Ahh my rear passenger tyre seems a bit flat"

"Have you checked your valve springs"

"Yeah did them last week"

"Try the coil packs"

"Sweeet mate - all fixed now"

etc...

Seriously though they seem to start sh*tting themselves after a few years so it's highly likely that's the cause. :blink:

check ya plugs and gap em to .7 if they are ok.

take it to ford and see if there are any current pcm upgrades for it, as they had quite a few come out.

these two usually fix the back firing issues they have
