Coilpack Question

so iv got and have had for months that annoying exhaust pop missfire that alot of people have, iv checked for cracks in coilpacks and even took pats advice and used electrical tape to eliminate spark earthing out and its still the same. what I wanna know is there any other problems that they have that the naked eye cant see and when should they be replaced as mine are the standard ones? thanks guys

I had no 5 die with no noticable signs on the actuall coil pack at all ,car wouldnt pull more thn 170kw on the dyno swap them out one by one and when no 5 was done car straight back to 300kw

is there a way of actually testing the coil, resistance or even a flash tool. I beleive I have a dead one too

no 1 then months later no 2 went on the phantom.

Between 3 and 4000 - noticeable loss of power, sounds momentarily like a v8, or that weird sound when a cylinder is gone

at somewhere between 4 -4500 it was back to normal.

the service dept's fancy tools wern't able to diagnose it was the coil when the first one went. It was a couple of fanatics on here who solved the issue.

keeping in mind my motor hasn't been "tampered" with

Mate is the misfire consistently and easily repeatable? If so, buy ONE coilpack off EBay and play swapsies until you find the offender. If you dont find one, you have a new coilpack to add to the other 5 you will have to buy one day 10 seconds to change a pack with the lid off
