The program doesnt use the iPhone's GPS, only the in built accelerometer, so inaccuracies due to GPS are not relevant.

The program is fairly accurate if setup properly. If you give it the correct weight it will calculate the 0-100kph and 1/4mile times based on the G forces that its accelerometer senses. Based on the 0-100kph time relative to the weight of the car, it will calculate the fwkw power of your car given that you have entered the driveline loss % correctly.

Assuming the OP has put in roughly 20% driveline loss, then if it spat out ~270kw, then that pretty damn close! As far as the 4.82 goes, the OP probably under estimated the weight of the car that he put in.

hhhmmm maybe it works, but I would still question a 500$ MP3 player with some free software on a device that was not designed to test such machinery... accurate? hhhmmm

Ill pay the 80-100$ for a dyno run every time!

ipod v's a purpose built testing device - dyno...

I rest my case...

If someone wants to pm me the link to the software I am more then happy to test it on our ipod touch and compare with the dyno sheet results from late October this year...

Please prove me wrong!!!

To those who don't believe it, go and try it, I have been using dynolicious since it was released, if your accelerometer is accurate and you correctly calibrate the phone it's very consistent and accurate

I ran some passes at heathcote while using it and it was 2km off the trap speed almost as accurate as the race logic box. But remember it's measuriing speed at the 402m mark so it will be different to the track timers, and it was 0.01 off the time slip et!

If you know how to correctly set up and use it it's a great tool, it has rendered my g tech pro useless
