Guest Spinifex Guests Posted 30/11/08 06:55 AM Share Posted 30/11/08 06:55 AM You can rad into this what you will.Yesterday I drove up to Redcliffe then down the motorway to Robina. I drove back home to Loserville early this morning, it was 17 degrees according to my temp thing which is cool enough, one occupant in the car at a steady 115 kph on cruise my Typhoon was doing 8.7 k / 100.I dropped the 3,000 odd klm old oil the dealer had just put in the car ( perhaps alledgedly ) before I bought it, prolly some cruddy old Castrol mineral, who knows it was black as.. and put in Penrite SIN 15.Straight away I`m like, she loves this stuff its way smoother under snap acceleration. On an open flat highway, at 33 degrees outside temp and 115 kph with 2 people on board, it sat on 8 klm / 100. that's the average indicator too, and I reset it to be sure..I`m not trying to tout the oil, but it just spun me out a bit eh.. Guest Spinifex Guests Posted 30/11/08 07:37 AM Share Posted 30/11/08 07:37 AM I would concur with this, but its better all over the scale.. I watch that gauge more than I should. Guest Spinifex Guests Posted 30/11/08 09:39 AM Share Posted 30/11/08 09:39 AM (edited) Car was alledgedly just serviced before I bought it, as stated in the original post. Only real difference in the mix was: oil change.. Traction control off.. It``s about .6 or so of a litre less per hundred according to the gauge.Fvck knows, it could`ve been 100 things made the difference, its just an observation.Bottom line is, I`m a lot more comfortable with quality full synthetic oil in the motor.
